After putting an end to his extensive period at Real Zaragoza and closing his arrival at Getafe, the main symbol, bulwark and captain of the white club in recent years, Francho Serrano has already met the one who will be his new coach: José Bordalás. Between Tuesday and Wednesday, the midfielder completed his first training sessions under the orders of the Alicante coach and, in the run-up to the match against Partizan Belgrade in the first leg of the Conference League qualifiers, Bordalás dedicated words of praise to his new player.
«He is a young boy who, despite his youth, has been playing for Real Zaragoza for many seasons where he has been one of the captains,» explained the Barça coach. «A player who has given absolutely everything and who has given a lot to his club,» Bordalás continued, highlighting the Zaragoza player’s career and everything he has contributed to the white team during his years in the Aragonese capital.
In addition, the veteran Getafe coach has highlighted «the enormous enthusiasm» with which Francho faces his arrival at Getafe after managing to make the leap to the top flight of Spanish football. «Let’s hope that things go well for him because he comes with a huge enthusiasm and that is fundamental for any player,» said Bordalás about a player he met this past Tuesday after his signing was closed.
