[EN] Food alert for the presence of unlabeled mustard in Tria brand paste

The Spanish Agency for and Nutrition (_blank https://www.aragondigital.es/sanidad/»_blank»>Aesan) warns of a new food alert; this time, it is aimed at people with allergies to mustard, due to the marketing of a «angel hair» pasta of the Tria brand that contains mustard not included in the labeling.

The agency recommends, as a precautionary measure, that people with mustard allergy who have this product in their homes refrain from consuming it. The consumption of this product does not entail any risk for the rest of the population.

The Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition has learned of the incident through the Coordinated System for the Rapid Exchange of Information (SCIRI), after an alert notification transferred by the health authorities of the Valencian Community.

According to the information available, the initial distribution has been to the autonomous communities ofAndalusia, Catalonia, Valencia, Murcia and the Basque Country, although it is not ruled out that there may have been redistributions to other autonomous communities.

The information has been transferred through the Coordinated System for the Rapid Exchange of Information (SCIRI) to verify the withdrawal of the affected products from the marketing channels.

RECOMMENDATION FOR PEOPLE WITH MUSTARD ALLERGY

As a precautionary measure, people with mustard allergy who may have the aforementioned product in their homes are advised to refrain from consuming it.
