The Provincial Council of Teruel has opened a new call for grants aimed at non-profit entities that develop initiatives to promote entrepreneurship. The «Emprende» program has a budget of 100,000 euros for business advice, training and economic and tourism revitalization projects in the rural area of Teruel. Applications can be submitted until September 17 and the projects will be selected through a competitive concurrence procedure.
IN SEARCH OF A TERUEL WITH MORE VENTURES
The call is aimed at business associations, trade union organizations, chambers of commerce, foundations and other legally constituted entities, which may present projects with a minimum budget of 2,000 euros. Technical advice to entrepreneurs, the self-employed or SMEs will be < href="https://www.aragondigital.es/tags/ayudas/" target="_blank> eligible for subsidies; entrepreneurship training aimed at young people, unemployed or employed people; the promotion of entrepreneurship in educational centers; and the revitalization of the rural environment through tourism or agri-food activities.
Also included are campaigns to promote the consumption of local products (km 0 product), support for rural multi-services and essential services in small municipalities, as well as conferences and meetings on sustainability, energy communities or rural development opportunities.
A BOOST FOR SOCIETY
The deputy delegate for Territorial Development, Javier Ciprés, stressed that the interest of the provincial institution is that these projects are developed in as many regions as possible and that their benefits extend throughout the province, because «promoting economic, social and educational development in the province of Teruel is a challenge that we have ahead of us from this Provincial Council».
The maximum amount of the subsidy that each beneficiary entity may receive will not exceed 30,000 euros or 80% of the total eligible cost of the project presented. For the granting of the aid, aspects such as technical quality, territorial and population impact, the experience of the entity and the contribution to the provincial strategic objectives will be assessed.
