Infoar firefighters have worked this Sunday on two forest fires declared in Aliaga, in the Teruel region of Cuencas Mineras, and Biscarrués, in Hoya de Huesca. The first has been controlled during the afternoon, while the second has forced the mobilization of several air and land resources.
The first flames have been detected in Aliaga after a private individual gave the warning around 8:00 a.m. A ground brigade with a fire truck, Agents for the Protection of Nature and firefighters from the Provincial Council of Teruel have worked in the area until they managed to control the fire at 2:00 p.m.
Hours later, at 3.30 p.m., a fixed surveillance post detected another forest fire in Biscarrués, in Hoya de Huesca. The response has required a larger deployment: two helicopters based in Ejea de los Caballeros and Bailo, a helicopter brigade, two ground brigades, two fire trucks and Agents for the Protection of Nature.
In addition to these two fires, Infoar is working in Las Peñas de Riglos, where the troops continue to make progress in extinguishing them. During this Sunday, manual work is being carried out to cool hummers and hot spots located within the perimeter.
