With the school year 2026-2027 about to start, many families are already looking at the calendar thinking about the Fiestas del Pilar 2026 and on which days there will be no school in Zaragoza. Knowing in advance the non-school days allows you to organize the conciliation and also prepare plans to enjoy the week most awaited by the people of Zaragoza or, for those who prefer, escape the city for a few days in search of tranquility or fun.
The Fiestas del Pilar 2026 will be held in Zaragoza from Saturday 10 to Sunday 18 October, with nine days of celebration. The starting signal will come on Saturday 10 with the traditional proclamation, while the big day will be on Monday 12 October, the feast of the Virgen del Pilar, with the Offering of Flowersas one of the central acts. TheOffering of Fruits and the Crystal Rosary will arrive on Tuesday 13 and the festivities will conclude on Sunday 18 October.
UN PUENTE DE CINCO DÍAS: THESE ARE THE DAYS WITHOUT SCHOOL IN THE FIESTAS DEL PILAR 2026
The school calendar will leave an important break for students coinciding with the beginning of the Fiestas del Pilar. Students in Zaragoza will not have classes on Monday 12, Tuesday 13 and Wednesday 14 October 2026. The first will be a holiday for the Day of the Pillar and National Holiday, while the 13th and 14th are established as non-teaching days.
These three days will join the weekend of Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 October, so students will enjoy a bridge of five consecutive days without school, from Saturday 10 to Wednesday 14 October. Classes will resume on Thursday, October 15 and both that day and Friday 16 will be classes, although Zaragoza will continue to be immersed in the festivities until Sunday.

- Sunday, October 11: weekend.
- Monday, October 12: Pilar Day and National Day.

THE NEXT HOLIDAYS AND BRIDGES OF THE 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR IN ARAGON
The Pilar long weekend will not be the only break that students will have ahead of them during the 2026-2027 school year. Just a few weeks later the All Saints’ Day long weekend will arrive, since Monday, November 2 will be a holiday in place of All Saints’ Day and will allow three days without school to be linked with the weekend.
In December, another of the outstanding long weekends on the calendar will arrive. Students will not have class on Monday 7 and Tuesday 8 December, so they will be able to enjoy four consecutive days of rest due to the long weekend of the Constitution. Then, the Christmas holidays will begin after classes on the morning of Tuesday, December 22 and will last until Wednesday, January 6, 2027, both included.
Already in 2027, Zaragoza will have another outstanding break with San Valero (January 29) and the Cincomarzada (March 5), since both will fall on a Friday and will allow you to enjoy three-day bridges On the other hand, the Day of Aragón, Friday, April 23, it will also leave three consecutive days without class, while Monday, May 3 will be non-teaching in Zaragoza and will allow another bridge to be linked with the weekend of May 1 and 2.
