The Huesca City Council, through the General Services area, will carry out an extensive maintenance work operation in the city’s public schools and nursery schools with the aim of having their facilities ready for the start of the school year in the coming weeks.
In total, more than 150 actions are planned to be carried out in different educational centers, work that will be intensified over the next few days taking advantage of the days prior to the return of students to the classrooms.
FROM FURNITURE RELOCATION TO MASONRY WORK
The interventions respond to the needs detected in each of the centers and include work of various natures, but always maintenance work. Among them are the transfer of materials and furniture, masonry actions, repairs to electrical installations and plumbing work, as well as maintenance work on drains, drains and roofs.
In addition to these tasks, different blacksmithing, painting and carpentry actions are added, as well as small repairs and conservation work necessary to guarantee the adequate condition of the educational facilities. These actions are part of the commitment of the City Council of Huesca with the maintenance of the city’s public schools.
To date, the Consistory has allocated about one million euros to meet different needs of Huesca’s public schools and nursery schools. This amount corresponds to maintenance work on the facilities, as well as to cover expenses necessary for the daily operation of the centers, including electricity and gas supplies, cleaning as well as other services and needs related to the educational buildings.
In addition to the interventions that are concentrated during the weeks prior to the start of the course, the City Council carries out maintenance work throughout the year in educational centers, especially taking advantage of non-teachingperiods to undertake those works that can generate greater inconvenience during school activity.
