However, the most expensive house in Aragón brings together all these ingredients and adds one that is especially difficult to find: more than four centuries of history documented within its walls.
It is Casa Juste, a spectacular house-palace located in the historic center of Benasque, inthe Huesca Pyrenees, which is currently for sale for 3.5 million euros. Property leads the luxury real estate market in the Community and appears as the most expensive Aragonese home in a study carried out by the Idealista platform on the most exclusive properties in España.
The real estate portal has compiled the ten highest-priced homes currently for sale in the country and, in addition, has selected the most expensive house in each autonomous community. In Aragon, the first place corresponds to thisproperty of Benasque.
And his figures help to understand why he plays in another league. Casa Juste has 1,213 square meters built, of which 1,054 are useful, distributed over four floors. It has around 40 spaces or rooms, two bathrooms and stands on a plot of 1,140 square meters. But beyond its size and price, what is truly exceptional is found in the history it preserves.
A PALACE-HOUSE WITH HISTORY SINCE 1567
Casa Juste is not simply a luxury home. The documented history of the property dates back to 1567 and for more than five centuries it has remained linked to the same lineage, the Juste family. The historical relevance of this family and their status as infanzones even ended up giving another of the names by which the property is traditionally known: Torre de los Infanzones.
The building is also declared an Asset of Cultural Interest, a protection that reflects the heritage value of an architectural complex that still preserves numerous elements of its stately past. Among them stands an imposing defensive tower, accompanied by a historic machicolation and different original architectural elements reminiscent of the old fortified buildings of the Pyrenees.
All this is located in the heart of the historic centre of Benasque, one of the best-known tourist destinations in the Aragonese Pyrenees and a few kilometres from the Cerler ski resort.

On it is a polychrome piece that, according to the property’s advertisement, has become the object of study by university specialists. Another of the great attractions appears when you go outside. The property has a large garden area in the heart of the historic centre of Benasque, a particularly unusual element considering its central location.

The price is around 2,885 euros per square metre built, although comparing this property only by surface area is complicated due to its historical and heritage nature.

While the ten most expensive houses in Spain are concentrated entirely between Mallorca and the Costa del Sol and exceed 24 million euros, Aragon finds its particular representative of luxury real estate among the mountains of the Pyrenees: a house-palace of 3.5 million euros whose history began more than 450 years ago.
