The rapid intervention of two agents of the National Police has avoided a fatal outcome this Sunday in the heart of Zaragoza. A woman was sitting on a windowsill on a ninth floor, ready to throw herself into the void, when the police managed to get her to safety and prevent her from rushing in.
The events took place in the early afternoon of Sunday, August 23. A call to CIMACC-091 has alerted that a woman, in an obvious state of agitation and nervousness, was at the window while several neighbors tried to verbally reassure her from their own homes.
ACitizen Security patrol has been deployed to the scene. One of the agents began to talk to the woman from the window of a nearby building with the aim of distracting her and maintaining contact with her. Meanwhile, the second policeman has managed to access the house where the woman was. At one point, acting quickly, he grabbed her and managed to get her back inside before she could rush from the ninth floor.
After bringing her to safety, the agents themselves have requested medical assistance through CIMACC-091 due to the strong state of agitation she presented. The doctors have initially treated her at home and have subsequently transferred her to a hospital for evaluation.
