The rally will begin at 8:00 p.m. and will coincide with the celebration of Ceuta Day. The call aims to convey from the Spanish municipalities a joint message of closeness and support to the city and its neighbors in the face of the events experienced in recent weeks.
«OUR SUPPORT FOR A CITY IN A COMPLICATED SITUATION»
The spokesman for the Government team of the City Council of Teruel, Carlos Méndez, explained that the Teruel Consistory has decided to participate because «at times like this it is important that the municipalities are united and are able to transfer our support to a city that is going through a complicated situation».
Méndez has valued the role of the municipalities as the administration closest to the citizens and has considered it important that municipalism can jointly express solidarity between cities and territories when the circumstances require it. «From Teruel we want to send a very clear message to the people of Ceuta: we are with them and they have our solidarity, our support and our affection,» he said.
A SIMULTANEOUS CONCENTRATION THROUGHOUT SPAIN
The rally promoted by the FEMP will be held simultaneously in front of numerous town halls throughout Spain. The aim is to show unity and support for Ceuta, coinciding with a particularly significant date for the autonomous city.

«Ceuta is part of Spain and from Teruel we want its neighbors to know that they are not alone. I think it is important that, regardless of where we live, we know how to be together when a city needs everyone’s support,» said Méndez.
The Teruel City Council encourages Teruel residents who want to show their solidarity with Ceuta to participate in the rally, which will take place next Wednesday, September 2, at 8:00 p.m., at the door of the Teruel City Hall.
