[EN] Highs of 42º return: extreme heat in Aragon will give way to a sharp drop in temperatures

The suffocating heat that had been giving the Aragonese a break for a few weeks, seems to have decided to lift its truce. During the next two days, high temperatures will be the main protagonists, especially in the Ebro valley, where the maximum temperatures will touch and even exceed 40º. However, on the horizon there is a plummeting drop in temperatures that will bring with it rainfall in much of the territory.

Until that weather change arrives, the heat will dominate the atmosphere in Zaragoza. The Aragonese capital is experiencing a day this Tuesday with temperatures that will reach 39º and will not fall below 20º. The people of Zaragoza will especially notice a light breeze at noon that will not exceed 15 km/h but that will allow the sky to remain completely clear.

But this Tuesday will not be the hottest day of the week. And it will be on Wednesday when Zaragoza will have to desperately look for water, shade and fans because of a maximum of 42º and a minimum of 22º that has forced the Aemet to activate the orange warning for maximum temperatures. 

From Wednesday, the Aragonese capital will suffer a gradual drop in temperatures during the rest of the days that will culminate the weekend with an atmosphere more typical of spring than summer.

HUESCA AND TERUEL

The weather situation in Huesca and Teruel will be very similar to that of Zaragoza. The capital of Huesca will move this Tuesday between 37º and 17º. However, this Wednesday they will rise even more in the thermometers with maximums of 38º and minimums of 20º that will keep the city on yellow warning for maximum temperatures. Like Zaragoza, the maximums and minimums will fall towards the end of the week that will conclude with unpleasant weather during the weekend.

For its part, Teruel is also experiencing a start to the week dominated by the heat. This Tuesday the temperatures will move between 38º and 17º, and will be repeated during the day on Wednesday. After that, the thermometers will drop throughout the week until they mark somewhat more pleasant temperatures that will move around 30º.
