[EN] It’s official: Imserso announces when its 2026-2027 trips can be booked

The trips to the coast once again concentrate a large part of the places in the Imserso 2026-2027. The programme offers 879,213 places for this season, divided between the peninsular coast, the island coast and getaways with cultural circuits, nature or visits to provincial capitals. Marketing will begin on September 14.

The peninsular coast concentrates the largest number of beds, with 440,284, 50.1% of the total. Destinations on the island coast will have another 228,142, 25.9%, while getaway tourism will have 210,787, 23.9%. This last modality includes cultural circuits, nature tourism, provincial capitals and autonomous cities of Ceuta and Melilla and of European origin.

The Imserso will also distribute 36% of the places in each batch proportionally during each month of the campaign to prevent trips from being concentrated on a few dates.

MORE THAN 4.6 MILLION ACCREDITED PEOPLE

The Imserso has already begun to send 2,938,156 letters that will reach the 4,602,255 people accredited to travel with the tourism program. Each includes four digits, different each season, needed to make reservations or purchase trips.

TRIPS FOR 50 EUROS AND PLACES FOR PETS

The Ministry of Social Rights maintains the two important novelties that were introduced the previous season. The first is a reduced fare that allows pensioners with fewer resources to travel for only 50 euros, regardless of the destination, while the Imserso assumes the remaining cost of the trip.

In total, 7,447 places have been reserved for those who receive a benefit equal to or less than the amount of non-contributory disability or retirement pensions from the Social Security.

The second measure reserves a percentage of seats for those users who want to travel with their pets. This possibility is available on both peninsular and island coast trips, always in accordance with the regulations and the care required by these animals.

MARKETING BY PROVINCES

Marketing will begin on September 14 in Andalusia, Aragon, Castilla y León, Extremadura, Galicia, Madrid, Melilla, Navarra and La Rioja for preferential users. Non-preferential companies will be able to access the trips from September 15.

In Asturias, Catalonia, Castilla-La Mancha, Valencia, Ceuta, Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, Cantabria, Murcia and the Basque Country, users of the programme will be able to access the purchase from 16 September for preferential users and one day later, on 17 September, for non-preferential users.

WHICH TRIPS CAN BE BOOKED THE FIRST DAYS

From September 14 to 18, each person will only be able to book the trips available in the quota of their province, assigned according to the number of residents and registered over 65 years of age. The objective is to stagger marketing and avoid overloads in reservation centers.

From September 19, trips that have been left unmarketed in any province can be booked. In addition, cancellations, modifications and resignations will generate new availabilities throughout the season.

HOW TO BOOK IMSERSO TRIPS

Pensioners will be able to book trips to the Peninsular Coast and Getaway Tourism in www.turismosocial.es and those to the Insular Coast in www.mundicolor.es, using their ID card and accreditation code. They can also do so at authorised travel agencies only with their ID card.

Social Rights stresses that the programme contributes to active ageing and the promotion of an active life, to solidarity between generations and territories, to the generation of employment and economic activity and to combat loneliness. It is also highly accepted by pensioners from all over España.
