Sabiñánigo is getting ready to dance to the rhythm of salsa and bachata. A new festival that was born with the intention of making a place for itself in the national calendar of Latin dance is the great novelty in the town of Alto Aragon. For two days, on August 21 and 22, Sabiñánigo will bring together participants from different parts of the country in a proposal that combines music, dance and the natural and tourist attraction of the Pyrenees.
The festival is also a new stage for an initiative with a long history. SABI BAILA SB is the result of the evolution of the eight editions of the Pyrenees Salsa Festival, promoted by the local association Bailando Sabiñánigo, which has more than ten years of work in the promotion of dance culture.
The SABI BAILA SB program will feature workshops given by national and international professionals, as well as live shows, animations and different days dedicated to social dance.
The organization proposes the festival as an event open to people of all ages and levels of experience. The objective is that both those who already have experience in the dance floor and those who are approaching Salsa and Bachata for the first time can participate and enjoy the atmosphere.
«SABI BAILA SB is designed by dancers and for dancers; It doesn’t matter where you come from or your level, just the desire to learn and enjoy,» the association explains. In addition to its cultural and leisure aspect, the new festival aspires to become a new tourist attraction for Sabiñánigo and its region.
The arrival of dance fans from different parts of the country aims to promote the activity of the hospitality and commercial sector during the weekend, while promoting coexistence among the participants. «SABI BAILA SB is designed by dancers and for dancers; It doesn’t matter where you come from or your level, just the desire to learn and enjoy,» the organizers point out.
