MotorLand is already preparing for the Michelin Grand Prix which will be held from August 28 to 30. Precisely, this Thursday the meeting of the Safety Board took place to approve the plan that will be carried out both in terms of safety and mobility of the attendees throughout the duration of the competition.
The operation, whichwill begin to be deployed from Thursday 27, is designed to respond to the significant increase in travel that will occur during the weekend and guarantee both the safety of the attendees and the fluidity of traffic on the main access roads to the circuit and in its surroundings.
The Guardia Civil will mobilise more than 1,200 troops during the operation, with the participation of agents from different specialities, including Citizen Security, Traffic Group, Judicial Police, ARS, GEAS, TEDAX, SEPRONA, Cynological Service, Cavalry Group, Air Service, CBRN teams and Transmission units, among others.
In addition, the presence of the National Police with two private security brigades and the Foreigners and Borders Brigade are added. The General Directorate of Traffic will also join with air resources, the State Roads Unit and the collaboration of the State Meteorological Agency.
WHAT’S NEW FOR THIS EDITION
One of the novelties will be the presence of the Mobile Citizen Service Office of the Civil Guard that will also function as a Violet Point and will be located in the enclosure. Also noteworthy is the presence in the Fan Zone of the paddock of the Harley Davidson Bagger World Cup, the new MotoGP category that will compete in MotorLand its only round in Spain.
