Operation Asphalt of Zaragoza enters a new phase next week with actions in six points of the city and important effects on traffic. The work will begin on Monday, August 24 and will affect, among other roads, Somport, Marqués de la Cadena, Santa Isabel Avenue and Illustration Avenue, with street closures, parking restrictions and detours.
SOMPORT
One of the longest interventions will be that of Somport, in the section between San Juan de la Peña and Monte Perdido. Between August 24 and September 1, the road will be closed and, occasionally, the bike lane and the right lane of San Juan de la Peña in the direction of Sobrarbe will also be affected.
The works will also force the temporary restriction of access to Binéfar, Jardines de la Concordia, Biello streets Aragón and Monte Perdido, although movements will be guaranteed by alternative passage. During the works it will be forbidden to park in the entire affected section and at specific points in Jardines de la Concordia and San Juan de la Peña.
MARQUÉS DE LA CADENA
There will also be an important performance in Marqués de la Cadena, specifically in the semi-roundabout with Velilla de Ebro.
The works will take place from Tuesday, August 25 to September 2 and will involve the closure of the section of the roundabout. Occasionally, the bike lane, the right lane of Marqués de la Cadena in the direction of Valle de Broto and Velilla de Ebro and Miguel Asso streets may also be affected.
AVENIDA DE SANTA ISABEL
Santa Isabel Avenue, at the roundabout with the Z-40, will be another of the points where the work will be concentrated.
Between August 26 and September 2, the affected section will be closed and traffic in the direction of exit from the city will be diverted along Avenida de Movera. For vehicles entering Zaragoza, the passage will be maintained in their usual lane or, when necessary, in the opposite direction.
AVENIDA DE LA ILUSTRACIÓN
Operation Asphalt will also arrive at Avenida de la Ilustración, at the roundabout with Juan Agustín Badín, from August 26 to September 3.
The roundabout will be cut off and the nearby sections of the avenue itself, next to Juan Agustín Badín and Melchor Gaspar Jovellanos, will function as sack bottoms with two directions of traffic.
Parking restrictions will also be established at the accesses to this roundabout and in several meters of its exits towards Bellas Artes and Tomás Anzano.
WOLF SCULPTOR
In Escultor Lobato there will be two different performances. The first will consist of a sanitation at number 39 between August 24 and 28, without modifying road traffic.
Subsequently, between August 28 and September 4, action will be taken on the section between Zaragoza la Vieja and Joaquín Sorolla. These works will force the closure of the road and, punctually, Escultor Salas street, in addition to prohibiting parking in the affected section.
PLAZA DE GALLUR
Finally, in the Gallur square, sanitation work will be carried out at the height of numbers 2, 3 and 6 between August 24 and 28. In this case, it will be necessary to cut the square and prohibit parking while the works last.
