The Civil Guard has arrested six young people for an alleged crime of robbery with violence in Belver de Cinca, after a man was assaulted and several objects were stolen from inside his vehicle during the last major festivities of the town.
The events occurred during the early hours of August 16, when the Civil Guard emergency center received a warning of a possible tumultuous fight. A patrol made up of agents from the Belver de Cinca and Zaidín posts went to the scene and collected the first statements, which pointed to a group of people having assaulted a man using different objects and uttering threats, some of them with references to the use of weapons.
According to the account of the victim and several witnesses, several people would have acted in a coordinated manner, throwing stones and cobblestones against a rock. Subsequently, one of those involved would have broken the rear window of the victim’s work van with a large stone and stolen various objects from inside.
The six alleged perpetrators of the attack were arrested on August 19. They are men between 16 and 22 years old, residents of the Bajo Cinca and Cinca Medio regions. The three adults were brought to justice on August 20, while the minors were placed at the disposal of the Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office of Huesca.
