[EN] Aragon will send vaccines for Ceuta immigrants: «The Government of Spain is late»

Aragon will send vaccines to Ceuta as requested by the Ministry of Health to all autonomous communities. The regional executive, however, regrets that the Government of Spain arrives late and asks it to coordinate the transfer device to Ceuta lands.

This was conveyed by the Minister of Health, Ángel Sanz, prior to the technical meeting on Monday with all the Autonomous Communities in which it will be clarified how many doses will be necessary and of what type to tacklethe health problems arising from the massive arrival of immigrants from Morocco.

Ángel Sanz has expressed that «Aragon has always been a people of solidarity and with the rest of Spain, and it will continue to be so» by providing the necessary vaccines but «without compromising the needs of the Aragonese people».

The autonomous community will request the necessary doses from the laboratories when the exact request is known. The minister expects that vaccines for the MMR, tetraviral, chickenpox, diphtheria and tetanus, and hexavalent vaccines will be sent.

«The Government of Spain is late to a situation that it itself had already foreseen. It is not enough to ask for vaccines. The Ministry must explain how it intends to organise this operation,» Sanz said in view of the complexity of coordinating the dispatch of the 17 Autonomous Communities.
