The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility has tendered for a budget of 78 million euros two contracts for the conservation and operation of more than 581 kilometres of the State Road Network in the province of Zaragoza.
The contracts, previously authorised by the Council of Ministers, contain four batches of actions on state roads in the province of Zaragoza, in Aragon. Work will be carried out on the AP-68, A-2, N-234, N-2, N-2A, N-2R, N-232, Z-40 and AP-2 roads, in addition to rehabilitating 6.18 kilometres of road surface on the latter motorway.
The duration of the contracts is three years, with the possibility of an extension of two years and an additional one of a maximum of 9 months. They include requirements to promote energy efficiency and the reduction of emissions, such as self-consumption, energy-saving measures in lighting or the implementation of electric motor vehicles
These contracts include actions such as road management, incidents and winter maintenance, aid for operation and road safety studies, and maintenance of road elements with adequate levels of quality.
