Music returns this weekend to the floating stage of Lanuza. After exceeding 9,000 attendees during its first weekend, Pirineos Sur faces from this Thursday the second round of concerts, some of the most anticipated of the XXXIII edition. Four days in which some of the most outstanding proposals on the national and international scene will coexist and that will once again bring together thousands of people in the Pyrenean reservoir.
Two of the nights were already sold out weeks ago: on Thursday, July 16, with La M.O.D.A. and Sanguijuelas del Guadiana, and on Saturday 18, starring Dani Fernández and Hens. The finale will come on Sunday with one of the most special moments of the festival: the presentation of the Pirineos Sur Award for Cultural Diversity 2026 to Rubén Blades, who will perform accompanied by the Roberto Delgado Big Band.
The programme will start on Thursday with a night marked by roots music reinterpreted from a contemporary perspective. Leeches of the Guadiana, one of the revelations of the new rural folk, will open the day with a proposal that combines Extremaduran tradition, authenticity and a particular sense of humour. Then will come LA M.O.D.A., one of the most beloved bands on the national scene, whose unmistakable sound mixes folk, rock and popular music with an intensity that has led them to star in some of the most celebrated live shows in the country and to sell out tickets in large venues.
On Friday it will be the turn of three of the national artists with the greatest projection. Judeline, one of the most personal voices of her generation and recommended by figures such as Rosalía or Bad Bunny, will land in Lanuza after the success of her album Bodhiria. She will share the stage with Samuraï, one of the great promises of contemporary pop, capable of connecting with the public through songs full of honesty, and with the Zaragoza-born Elem, a benchmark of Aragonese electronic pop and indie-pop and winner of the award for Best EP of Aragon in 2022.
HENS AND DANI FERNÁNDEZ
On Saturday another of the festival’s most crowded events will arrive with the line-up sold out for weeks. Hens, a benchmark of the new generation of alternative pop, will warm up the atmosphere before the performance of Dani Fernández, already one of the most successful artists of Spanish pop thanks to a repertoire full of anthems such as Bailemos or Me has invitado a bailar and a constant connection with the audience.
The end of the weekend will have a marked Latin American role. Before the concert by Rubén Blades, the festival will present the Panamanian artist with the 2026 Pirineos Sur Award for Cultural Diversity, a recognition with which the Provincial Council of Huesca distinguishes figures whose career has contributed to building bridges between cultures through music.
The day will be completed with the performance of Melanie Santiler, one of the young promises of Cuban pop, and the Colombian group Monsieur Periné, whose mixture of pop, jazz and folk has led them to perform at some of the most important festivals in the world.
