The extinguishing services have been working since early this Thursday on two forest fires declared in the province of Huesca, one in the area of Peña Montañesa and the other in Castanesa, both originated after a night marked by intense electrical activity and the fall of numerous lightning strikes.
The first fire is located in Peña Montañesa, where the Infoar operation has deployed a helicopter brigade with its light helicopter and a ground brigade to try to contain the flames.

The authorities have explained that last night was marked by significant stormy activity in the area, with the fall of several lightning strikes, a circumstance that could be related to the origin of both fires.
At the moment no data have been provided on the affected area or on the degree of stabilization of the fires. The extinguishing teams continue to work and it is expected that over the next few hours the information on the evolution of both fires and the means deployed will be updated
