The Teatro Arbolé has lowered the curtain on the season with the closing gala of the VI Amateur Theatre Show (Mutea), an event that has served to present the awards of this edition and pay tribute to the Teatro de Robres. The Zaragoza cultural space has thus closed a course in which it has maintained the support of the public, with nearly 33,000 spectators, an average occupancy of 60% per performance and a total of 265 performances.
The final gala, held this Saturday, featured the performance of the guest company Teatro de Robres, which staged the play «Celestina, el bululú». In addition, the awards have gone to «Joulupukki», by Teatro Vivo (Jury Prize); «Todo Ubú», by Locos por Actuar (Audience Award); Antonio Garrido, from Teatro de Vuelta, as Best Actor for the play «El viento en los álamos»; and Anahí Aragón, from LaTeja Teatro, as Best Actress for «Con la vida del otro».
THE NEW SEASON STARTS IN SEPTEMBER
The 2026-2027 season will begin on Sunday, September 6. As is tradition, «The Three Little Pigs» will open the program for children and families. Then will come the Ibero-American Festival of Theater for Children, which this year will reach its 13th edition.
Among the novelties of the next season is the creation of the Arbolé Space in San Mateo de Gállego, in collaboration with the City Council of the town. Both this project and the rest of the programme will be presented in detail at the beginning of September.
October will have a special program on the occasion of the Pilar festivities. The Arbolé stage, in the Parque del Agua, will receive outstanding artists from Aragonese and national theater, a program that will also be announced in September. In addition, the traveling theater will return to Moret Street with puppets and classic stories aimed at young and old.
The programme will be completed with the stable offer of weekends for children and families, the specific proposals for young people and adults with theatre, music and dance shows, the festival «A Christmas of Story», which will reach its 25th edition, and the campaigns of school audiences, which each year gain prominence. Likewise, the Arbolé Theatre School has already opened the registration period for the next academic year.
LOS PREMIOS DE LA VI MUESTRA DE TEATRO AMATEUR
The Amateur Theatre Show, organised by the Arbolé Theatre together with the Aragonese Federation of Amateur Theatre (Fatea), has reached its sixth edition this year. The cycle has become one of the stable dates of the theatre’s programme and has once again had a remarkable response from the public.
Arbolé has thus renewed its commitment to Aragonese theatre, bringing it closer to spectators and strengthening links with a sector that has a long history, numerous companies and a consolidated pool of actors and actresses. In this edition, LaTeja Teatro, Diversa Teatro, Teatro de Vuelta, Verde Viento, Ixeya Ensemble, Teatro Vivo, Locos por Actuar and Extintos Teatro have participated.
