«Cachito» was the nickname her mother used to call Nieves when she was little. Years later, he decided to unite that very personal part of his story with his passion for fashionand his desire to create a different brand, designed to dress everyone. This is how his own brand was born: Cachito Studio, located in Residencial Paraíso, number five of Zaragoza. «I wanted to put some of who I am into the brand.»
«I’ve always wanted to have my own fashion company,» Nieves recalls. «At the beginning it was Cachito, Cachito Spain, Cachito Pop, because I wanted to complete it with something else and now as with the studio it encompasses many things it is Cachito Studio,» he says laughing. As Nieves has evolved, her brand did with her. «I started with a Cachito who is closer to young people, who wanted things that I saw in American Disney Channel series and little by little I have become more sophisticated,» he confesses.
Each brand is different, but for Nieves more is more, and this is how she defines her style and what she wants to convey: «I think Cachito is unconventional fashion that I want to be on the street. I would like, as my dream is, for us all to dress as if the street were a fashion catwalk«.
CREATE DREAM GARMENTS BY HAND
«For me, a garment made entirely by hand has a special value,» says Nieves. «The artisanal provides a sentimental component thatmakes each piece unique.» In this sense, he points out that even large luxury firms are recovering that traditional know-how. «It gives it a plus of category and I think that the new luxury lies precisely in that.»
All Cachito Studio garments are handcrafted, with embroidery, rhinestones and other details made by hand. Although he enjoys the entire creative process, he recognizes that his weakness is fashion for the show. «I love it because I started dressing dancers, drag queens and people from the LGTBIQ+ community.»

For Nieves, fashion goes far beyond clothes. «I want fashion to have no gender, that the same garment can be worn on the street, on a catwalk or wherever everyone wants. I think that a dress can be worn by whoever wants to.»
SU SHOW EN ARAGÓN FASHION WEEK
At Cachito Studio they always seek to go one step further. For Nieves, a catwalk is not only a showcase where clothes can be shown, but a space to have fun, give it their all and, above all, tell a story through each collection. In his case, these stories are born from personal experiences.
«The first collection, with which I entered the Young Designers Contest and began to make myself a little more known in Aragón, was inspired by birthdays,» he recalls.
«For me it was a very special moment. My parents prepared incredible parties for me and I wanted to capture all those memories in a collection. I thought about who always accompanied me on my birthdays and my teddy bears immediately came to mind.» From that experience as a child came a collection in which teddy fabrics coexisted with leather garments. A combination that reflected the most tender, but also the most hard-working.
«I think that’s what I’ve wanted to capture during all these years at Aragón Fashion Week: enjoying the clothes, shining, playing with the stuffed animal, the feathers and the mixture of fabrics,» says Nieves. And perhaps therein liesthe essence of fashion: in the possibility that each person can express themselves as they are.
