According to the agreement that was made, the Government of Aragon will contribute to the financing of the action through a direct subsidy of a maximum of 1.5 million euros; according to the head of the < Area href="https://www.aragondigital.es/tags/transporte/" target="_blank">Transport of the regional executive, this amount will be allocated both to the works and to the preliminary studies and technical fees necessary to execute the project. This aid is intended to give a first impulse for the start of the works.
The Tarazona City Council will be in charge of drafting the basic and execution projects of the station, processing its approval, tendering the works and assuming the contracting and management of the works. The protocol establishes that the works must begin within a maximum period of 18 months and be completed within the following 24 months, which will allow the new station to be available within a period of approximately three and a half years. On the other hand, the current station will continue for a while, so that this transition can be implemented without affecting users.
The Minister of Development, Housing, Logistics and Territorial Cohesion, Octavio López, has referred to the global development of the area and has revealed that the Provincial Council of Urban Planning of Zaragoza gave the green light on July 10 to the new General Plan of Urban Planning (PGOU) of Tarazona «And, therefore, we already have the sufficient starting instrument to be able to carry out the rest of the actions that must be undertaken,» said the minister. For his part, the mayor of Tarazona, Pedro Antonio Jaray, thanked the effort made by the Government of Aragon for the creation of this new bus station. Jaray stressed that the new infrastructure «will be in a central space, a place accessible to all people».
