Two weeks after the festival concludes, it is time to take stock. The organization estimates that the overall economic impact of PolifoniK Sound 2026 in the territory has been 1.9 million euros, a figure that exceeds last year’s 1.5 million.
Considered the most successful edition to date with nearly 12,000 attendees from all over Spain, the volume of business that moves the festival reaches record numbers derived from the direct and indirect effects that fall on Barbastro, the Somontano region and the province of Huesca. In fact, in the capital of Vero, 100% hotel occupancy was recorded on July 2, 3 and 4, covering the 570 beds available between hotels, hostels and tourist apartments.
As for the region, high occupancy figures have been reported with the coverage of 80% of the more than 3,500 accommodation places. In addition, this year a notable impact has also been observed in other parts of the province such as Huesca city and the regions of Cinca Medio, Bajo Cinca or Ribagorza.
Likewise, in addition to the hospitality industry, sectors such as catering, local commerce and tourist activities have benefited from the attraction of a festival that is conquering more and more people without losing its essence of quality, comfort and an unbeatable atmosphere.
«This year we are receiving a lot of positive feedback from restaurants and local businesses of all kinds, from clothing and accessories to food, which have multiplied their sales during the days of the festival. This news fills us with pride because our goal is for the PolifoniK Sound brand to transcend music and be a window for Barbastro and an event to boast about in the territory,» says Iván Arana, co-director of the festival.
