CB Peñas is going through a difficult economic situation and its participation to register in Segunda FEB. Due to the fact that the subsidy from the Government of Aragon has not yet been received, the S.D. Huesca has provided them with 100,000 euros to ensure their sporting continuity.
If the Barça entity had not given this money, it is very likely that Peñas would not have been able to register in the third category and their survival would be very much in doubt.
In this way, the Huesca club will be able to catch up with its payments with both Social Security and the Treasury. By taking charge of this debt, it will be able to receive the subsidy from the regional government and continue competing in the Second FEB.
«S.D. Huesca wants to show its commitment not only to the city’s sport, but to the entire Huesca society, through an institution that has been an emblem of Huesca, representing it at the highest national level. In fact, the link between clubs has been reflected in recent years through various initiatives and collaborations,» the Alto Aragonese club concluded its official statement.
