[EN] The fire in the Cinco Villas is stabilized and the return of the evacuated residents is being prepared

The favourable evolution of the fire has allowed the withdrawal of part of the UME troops, who are moving to Guadalajara

The fire of the Cinco Villas has been declared this Sunday as stabilized after razing 15,000 hectares. This situation allows us to prepare the return to the five evacuated towns: Asín, Orés, Malpica de Arba, Luesia and Uncastillo. During the night, their urban centers have been inspected to check the absence of hot spots.

Throughout the day on Sunday, the work has focused on extinguishing small reproductions detected within the perimeter of the fire and on consolidating the most sensitive areas to avoid reactivations.

Most of the media have worked in sector 6, north of Uncastillo, where they have carried out work to close and secure the perimeter with heavy machinery. In addition, during the night, drones were used to check the entire affected area and detect the possible existence of new hot spots.

STAGGERED RETURN OF THE NEIGHBORS

It is expected that during the morning of this Monday the five evacuated municipalities will fully recover the services of electricity, telephone and drinking water. Cecopi has insisted that the return of the residents must be carried out in an orderly, staggered manner and accompanied by public services, with the participation of Social Services and psychological support teams.

The favourable evolution of the fire has also made it possible to begin to reduce part of the deployed device. As a result, one of the two sections of the Military Emergency Unit (UME) that worked in the area has been transferred to the Guadalajara forest fire.

The second section of the UME has continued to act together with the rest of the agencies that make up the extinguishing operation, especially in sectors 3 and 6, to strengthen the stabilization of the fire and prevent possible reproductions.
