The Pepinillo vermouth bar, one of the most popular establishments in the San Miguel de Zaragoza, will reopen its doors on August 25. This has been announced by the business itself through a video published on its social networks, in which it confirms the end of a temporary closure that began on June 18 and thanks the support received during these weeks.
The reopening puts an end to a particularly complicated period for the establishment, forced to temporarily cease its activity after a sanction of the Zaragoza City Council related to the arrangement of tables in the access corridor to the San Miguel Market.
ADAPTATION OF THE PREMISES
In the video released by the establishment, one of its managers acknowledges that they have been weeks marked by «uncertainty, fear, learning and overcoming», although she assures that at no time did they consider abandoning the project.
During this time, the premises have worked to adapt to the new demands that will allow the activity to resume. «We will adapt the premises to the new needs, but without losing the essence of Pepinillo,» explains the co-owner, who also announces that the business will return «with more strength and more enthusiasm».
UN REFERENTE DEL VERMÚT EN ZARAGOZA
Since its opening, Pepinillo has established itself as one of the benchmark establishments of the San Miguel Market thanks to a proposal focused on vermouth and aperitif, with a menu that includes gildas, banderillas, pickles, brioches, anchovies, salad or cheeks, as well as a casual atmosphere that has allowed it to retain a wide clientele.
In the message published on social networks, the team wanted to especially thank the support received during the closure. «Thank you to all of you who have been there, even when the doors were closed,» they say, before calling on their customers to toast again on August 25.
With this reopening, the San Miguel Market will recover one of its busiest establishments, which hopes to start a new stage while maintaining the identity that has made it one of the benchmarks for tapas and vermouth in Zaragoza.
