Four bullrings in the Aragonese capital will change their image in the coming months. The Zaragoza City Council has announced a new «parking plan» with actions to renovate green areas, improve accessibility and modernize urban furniture. The planned investment is around 900,000 euros and will allow intervention in the squares of Tauste, Rebolería, San Agustín and Lolita Parra.
The objective is to recover these spaces as neighborhood meeting points by incorporating more vegetation and the renovation of deteriorated elements. The first three actions will take place in the neighborhood of La Magdalena, while the fourth will reach the neighborhood of Oliver.
The works will begin in the squares of Tauste, where the problems of subsidence of the pavement will be corrected; Rebolería, widely used by the neighbors due to its proximity to the health center; and San Agustín, located next to the Centro de Historias.
NEW IMAGE IN THE OLIVER NEIGHBORHOOD
The plan also includes the update of the remodeling project of the Lolita Parra square, in Oliver, with the aim of starting the works next year. The action will turn this space into a unique platform to eliminate architectural barriers and improve accessibility for all users.
In addition to preserving and reinforcing the existing trees, the reform includes new pavements, benches, litter bins and walls, as well as the complete renovation of the children’s area with adapted games, rubber pavement and accessibility and inclusion criteria. The ornamental fountain will also be maintained and a new intake will be installed for irrigation.
