The visible faces within an investment group are given in dribs and drabs, and even more so with the experience of the Real Zaragoza with the experience lived since 2022. But in A. Gain, the company’s reference is Bobby Aitkenhead, co-founder and CEO of the investment group.
Bobby is the second son of the founder of IDC Network, the parent company of the investment group, Richard Aitkenhead. A.Gain was born with the clear objective of investing in the world of sport and has already done so at Leeds United, Deportivo Cali, Racing de Santander and Atlético de Madrid.
The new owner of the Real Zaragoza is passionate about sports and in his university days he tried to become a professional in basketball, but serious knee injuries made it impossible for him to fulfill his dream. Although he is of American origin, his childhood and much of his life have been spent in Guatemala, because his father was Minister of Economy and Finance of the Latin American country.

Aitkinhead does not work alone, his right-hand man is Richard Lee. CFO of the company and has been the main person in charge of coordinating Deportivo Cali since the arrival of the investment group to the Colombian team. Now we will have to see his importance within A.Gain’s decisions in the white team.
Lee is joined by both Alejandro Gutiérrez and Santos Nagore. Both are within the investment group and are a fundamental part of Aitkinhead’s team.
With the arrival of this new ownership, it remains to be seen what the new structure will be within the Real Zaragoza and the decision-making with these new thinking heads within the SAD.
