The Zaragoza City Council will install a new video scoreboard in the Príncipe Felipe Pavilion, with state-of-the-art technological features that will improve the experience of spectators in sports competitions and major events hosted by the Zaragoza venue.

The Board of Directors of the company Zaragoza Deporte has approved the specifications for the procurement of the supply, installation and commissioning of the new equipment, with a base tender budget of 257,500 euros (VAT not included). The new system will replace the current central video scoreboard, installed 14 years ago, and will incorporate the latest technologies to offer higher image quality, more advanced management of audiovisual content and better integration with the rest of the venue’s facilities.
The new video scoreboard will make it possible to respond to the technical demands of all these events, improving the display of audiovisual pieces, statistics, replays, live images and other content intended for the public. The contract contemplates a maximum execution period of 16 weeks from its formalization.
€2.4 MILLION INVESTED SINCE 2023
The new video scoreboard is in addition to the investments that the Zaragoza City Council has been promoting in the Prince Felipe Pavilion to consider it as one of the great sports and cultural references in the country.
Since 2023, investments for the modernization of the most important municipal pavilion in the city already total 2.4 million euros. Among them, some already executed stand out, such as therenovation of the toilets, the rehabilitation of the roof, the renovation of the sound system and other technical equipment, as well as the installation of new access doors. In addition to these actions, the comprehensive renovation of the sports pavements of the central court and the auxiliary court, currently in the bidding process, will soon be added, with an investment of 268,905 euros.
