The Serbian winger signs for the Belgrade team until 2028 and will cross paths with the Zaragoza academy player’s Getafe for a place in the Conference League

Nikola Cumic, one of the members of the Real Zaragoza squad that suffered the Dantesque and spectacular relegation to First Federation, has a new destination. The 27-year-old Serbian winger has signed for Partizan Belgrade until 2028 after leaving Russian side Rubin Kazan and, after passing the respective medical examinations, has already joined the Serbian team’s training sessions.

Cumic thus returns to the top flight of his country in a club that has another former white player as sporting director: Radosav Petrovic. «Partizan must always go for the biggest goals and trophies are always expected from a club like Partizan All of us must aspire to that and return Partizan to where it belongs. From me, the fans can always expect 100% on the pitch and I expect a lot of goals, assists and victories in the black and white shirt,» the winger said after his signing.

In addition, Cumic’s debut could take place this Thursday in a duel that could also be the debut at his new club of Real Zaragoza’s last outing: Francho Serrano. Partizan and Getafe will begin to play for a place in the Conference League this season in a first leg that will be played at the Coliseum in the Madrid town and where it will be necessary to see if the Serbian winger or the Zaragoza midfielder take to the pitch to make his debut and help their new teams.

HIS EPHEMERAL SPELL AT REAL ZARAGOZA

Cumic arrived in the Aragonese capital in the winter market as one of the signings of Txema Indias who were trying to increase the team’s performance and be able to save the category in the second part of the season. But, like the team, the Serbian was a fiasco. The winger only played eight games, had no goal contribution and had practically zero impact on a squad with many shortcomings.
