The Gran Premio Michelin de Aragón will have a very attractive novelty this season, fromthe 28th to the 30th of August, MotorLand will host the penultimate round of the Harley Davidson Bagger World Cup, the recently launched MotoGP series that was born from the American King of the Baggers competition. These 280kg monsters with over 200 horsepower will take corners at speeds of up to 300km/h.
While, for MotoGP, MotorLand Aragón will be the thirteenth round of the season, for the Harley Davidson Bagger World Cup it will be the fifth. The series has chosen only a few charismatic circuits for its show: Circuit of the Americas (USA), Mugello (Italy), Assen (Netherlands), Silverstone (Great Britain), MotorLand Aragon itself and the intense Red Bull Ring in Austria as the final firecracker. The Aragonese test will be the only one to be held in Spanish territory.
After several races, the Brazilian Eric Granado leads the general classification with only 5 points ahead of the Australian Archie McDonald. The Spaniard Óscar Gutiérrez is third, 19 points behind an old acquaintance, Andrea Iannone. The presence of the Spaniard Jordi Torres stands out, who arrives after getting on the podium in Silverstone.
The Harley Davidson Bagger World Cup will have two races, one on Saturday and one on Sunday, as well as being able to watch practice and qualifying. The Bagger show will begin on Friday with Free Practice 1 at 12.15 p.m. and Free Practice 2 at 4.30 p.m. On Saturday, the Harley Davidson Bagger World Cup will feature the qualifying session at 12.05 with Race 1 at 16.10. The new series will compete in MotorLand its Race 2 on Sunday at 8.55 am.
