Ander, Tachi and the presence of the new ownership: the details of Real Zaragoza’s offering

The academy player has taken a step forward to act as first captain in an event that was attended by the CEO of A.Gain, Bobby Aitkenhead

Despite the fact that it is an event that is held every year in order to kick off a new course, the significant offering to the Virgen del Pilar by the Real Zaragoza always offers details to take into account. And this year, the relevance of Ander Herrera and Tachi or the presence of senior officials from the new ownership of the white entity have been the main aspects to be analysed.

With the debated and controversial departure of Francho Serrano, Real Zaragoza transferred the figure who has been the main bulwark of Zaragoza in recent years and, above all, lost the one who was and was going to be their first captain. A relevant and significant gap within the squad that was free and that from this Friday has a new member: Ander Herrera.

As is traditional and Francho Serrano himself made at the beginning of last season, the first captain of Real Zaragoza is the main protagonist in the act that takes place in the basilica. In this way, Ander Herrera has been in charge this Friday of leading the white entourage and later, of reading a text addressed to the Virgin just before delivering the floral detail.

A final gesture towards the Virgin that is traditionally carried out by both the first and second captains of Real Zaragoza. Thus, Ander Herrera has been accompanied by Tachi to lay the flowers at the feet of the Virgen del Pilar in a detail that shows that the centre-back has taken a step forward within the Aragonese team, acting as second captain of Real Zaragoza.

PRESENCE OF THE NEW PROPERTY

In addition to the Real Zaragoza first team, the event was attended by representatives of the different areas of the club as well as important figures within the ownership that took the reins of the club in mid-July, A.Gain. An image that contrasts with that of last year when only the former CEO, Fernando López, was the visible face of the shareholding.

In this way and both in the Basilica and later in the town hall, the general director of Real Zaragoza, Guido Baroli, who has lived in the Aragonese capital since his entry into the position, has been accompanied by the directors of the entity, Juan Forcén and Cristina Llopl and the CEO of A.Gain, Bobby Aitkenhead.

Precisely, the latter has been in charge of speaking on behalf of the club at the reception that took place at the town hall of the Aragonese capital: «We are building something that we hope will be very long-term and that can take the club where it deserves to be«.
