The women’s team of Casademont Zaragoza returns to work next week, more specifically on Monday 24, and before that return so close, the Aragonese club has made official the numbers that the players will wear on their shirts this coming season. All those who continue in the discipline compared to last year do not change their number.
Captain Mariona Ortiz remains at number 4; Ornella Bankolé, in 3rd; Merritt Hempe, with 5; Nadia Fingall, with 7; Veronika Vorackova, with 8; Laia Flores, with 10; Helena Oma, with 16 and Nerea Hermosa with 20.

The changes come with respect to the new players who have arrived in the Aragonese capital in this market. Aisha Sheppard has chosen the number 2, Yarden Garzón has chosen the number 12, Kristine Vitola, the 17; Astou Ndour, the 45 and Carla Brito has decided to wear the 55.
Compared to last season, the numbers that have not been chosen have been 0 (Carla Leite), 13 (Helena Pueyo), 31 (Aminata Gueye) and 33 (Stephanie Mawuli).
THE PRESEASON
Carlos Cantero’s team will return to their routine on August 24 and after the ‘stage’ in Benasque from August 31 to September 3 they will start with the friendlies. The first preparation match will come on September 10, when Casademont will face Inversus Gernika Bizkaia from 8:00 p.m. in the Navarrese town of Olite.
The preseason will continue with a double header against the Greek Athinaikos WBC who, precisely, share a group with the red-and-white club in the first phase of the Euroleague. The first will be played on September 18, at 8:30 p.m., in Ejea de los Caballeros. Meanwhile, the second will be two days later at the Príncipe Felipe in the dispute of the Ibercaja Ciudad de Zaragoza Trophy at 5:30 p.m.
The last rehearsal before the official premiere will come on September 23, when Casademont visits Torres de Berrellén to face Azul Marino New Travel at 9:00 p.m. It will be the last test before heading to Torrejón de Ardoz, where the rojillas will defend the Super Cup title.
