The fiestas de Las Fuentes have not yet officially started, but in the neighborhood there are already unmistakable signs that they are just around the corner. The esplanade located between Belchite, Tomás Higuera, Doctor Iranzo and María de Aragón streets has begun to fill with tents and structures to host part of the festive program and, with this, one of the spaces that residents usually use for parking has also temporarily disappeared.
The image of the montage has begun to circulate on the neighborhood’s social networks and has provoked comments among those who are already preparing for the ten days of celebrations. «Go back from the town that here already smells of partying,» said a neighbor next to the photographs, in a phrase that summarizes the atmosphere of these days. Others took advantage of the publication to joke about the change that the arrival of the holidays brings: «Go looking for a place to park,» wrote one, while another user asked directly: «Where do you park now?»
LAS FUENTES, ABOUT TO START THEIR FESTIVITIES
The conversation continued with comments such as «Oh my God, now it is mission impossible to park in the neighborhood», to which another neighbor responded by recalling that the esplanade had not been used for parking for about a week.
Beyond the practical issue of finding parking, the assembly also works as a kind of countdown for the neighborhood. The festivities of Las Fuentes will be held from this Friday, August 21, and until the next 30th in honor of Santa Rosa de Lima, with ten days of activities and a program that includes concerts, shows, games, workshops, big heads and proposals for all ages.
Among the highlights will be the performance of Leticia Sabater, as well as the tributes to Estopa and Melendi, while one of the most special moments will come with the proclamation of the Association of Bigheads of Las Fuentes, which celebrates its 50th anniversary. «When I come back from the beach I go, I don’t miss Leti,» they also commented on networks.
