The residents of the neighborhood of La Almozara will gather this Monday to reject «any type of sexual violence» after the National Police confirmed the alleged sexual assaults registered in the neighborhood during the last weeks in the surroundings of the Parque del Agua and the neighborhood. The Municipal Board of the neighborhood and the neighborhood associations seek to convey a collective message of «support for the victims». The rally will take place at 1:00 p.m. at the door of the District Board (Avenida de la Puerta de Sancho, 28).
Sources from the National Police consulted by ARAGÓN DIGITAL confirmed this Friday that there are several complaints that are being investigated by the Family and Women’s Care Unit (UFAM), but they cannot determine if the facts would be related to each other or if there would be the same person behind them.
The concentration of neighbors in La Almozara will also demand «a firm, coordinated response focused on the protection of victims.» Likewise, the president of the Municipal Board of La Almozara and councilor of the PSOE, Guillermo Ortiz, has shown his «absolute respect» for the actions being carried out by the Security Forces and Corps and the judicial bodies to clarify the facts.
Ortiz has demanded that the response to these events be produced from unity and away from any political confrontation, making all available public resources available to the victims and reinforcing prevention measures.
