«Aragon, land of culture« continues this weekend with its programming in the municipality of Fabara. The programme, which is promoted by the General Directorates of Culture and Cultural Heritage and Tourism of the Government of Aragon, brings free cultural shows and one hundred percent Aragonese DNA to emblematic places in all the regions of the community.
This Saturday, August 29, in an environment of singular beauty such as the Roman Mausoleum of Fabara, the neighbors will be able to enjoy dance with the performances of the company LaMov, Uvegrym and Sooner or later Dance.
One kilometre from the town of Fabara (Zaragoza), on the left bank of the Matarraña River, is the best preserved Roman mausoleum in all of Spain. A large funerary monument dating from the second century, whose exterior decoration is of great interest. It is one of the most beautiful examples of Roman tombs preserved in our country.
DANCE COMPANIES
The LaMov dance company was born in 2008 in Zaragoza under the artistic direction of Víctor Jiménez, former principal dancer of Víctor Ullate, the Béjart Ballet de Lausanne and the Lyon Opera. Since then, his productions have featured pieces by different national and international choreographers, such as Sharon Fridman, Francisco Lorenzo, Chameleon Company, Henrique Rodovalho, Antonio Ruz and Itzik Galili.
Vega and Hugo Grimalt form the contemporary dance duo Uvergrym, a company that fuses dance, music and words to create their own scenic language. His works range from the comical to the tragic or even the grotesque, always with the purpose of connecting with the audience and provoking questions rather than finding answers.
Sooner or later Danza is a contemporary dance company created by four women in 2008. It was born from the association of the Zaragoza dancers and choreographers Marta Aso, Raquel Buil, Vanesa Pérez and Laura Val, with the intention of developing a personal and independent work within the field of contemporary dance.
