The Civil Guard has opened an investigation to clarify the death of an Irish couple aged 50 and 45 whose bodies were found this Tuesday afternoon in the jacuzzi of a house in Cullera, in Valencia. It was their minor children who located their lifeless parents inside the villa in which the family was staying.
The case is already in the hands of the Judicial Homicide Police team of the Civil Guard, which is trying to determine what happened in the hours before the death. At the moment, there is no confirmed cause of death and the investigators are keeping the different hypotheses open. Sources from the Civil Guard have indicated that there are indications that have led to an investigation into whether something out of the ordinary could have happened.
THE CHILDREN FOUND THE BODIES IN THE JACUZZI
The bodies were located in the jacuzzi of a house located in an urbanization of this Valencian coastal town. According to the information known so far, the bodies were naked and had injuries that apparently could have been punctured, although this does not allow us to determine how they died.
The Civil Guard has not confirmed that it is a violent death and it is not ruled out that the deaths may have an accidental origin. The investigation must determine both the nature of the injuries and whether they are related to the cause of death.
The couple’s two youngest children were left under the care of the Social Services of Cullera after the discovery. The children have special needs and remain cared for while their family situation is managed.
THE AUTOPSY WILL BE KEY
Investigators have already begun the proceedings to reconstruct the last hours of the marriage and clarify the circumstances in which the deaths occurred.
Autopsies should determine the exact cause of the two deaths and will be essential to guide an investigation that, for now, remains open and without a confirmed hypothesis.
