Rubén Sellés has already found a new job after his dismissal at Real Zaragoza on March 2. The Valencian coach has been announced by Cypriot side AEK Larnaca and has signed for one season.
Sellés begins a new adventure in the Cypriot team and arrives after his current team has been eliminated from the Conference League against Beitar Jerusalem. AEK Larnaca already has experience hiring coaches dismissed in the Aragonese capital due to Idiakez signing in 2019 with the Cyprus entity after his time at Real Zaragoza, although in the case of the Basque coach, that was his second stage.

This will be the Valencian coach’s first adventure in Cyprus, although the language will not be so strange to him because between 2011 and 2012 he was at the Greek Aris Thessaloniki as an assistant to Boyukaga Haciyev.
HIS BRIEF SPELL AT REAL ZARAGOZA
Sellés arrived at Real Zaragoza in an absolute emergency situation on October 20 with a white team located in the last position of the Second Division standings, five points from safety.
After 20 games, 18 in La Liga, he ended up being sacked after the team failed to climb in the standings and left them in last place with 24 points, eight points away from relegation. His record in the Aragonese team was four wins, six draws and eight defeats.
