A brutal knife attack in a nightclub in Zaragoza’s Plaza Salamero has ended with two 24-year-old men arrested and one of them in pre-trial detention. Two people were injured during the events, which occurred at around 5.30 a.m. on August 2, and one of them had two stab wounds in the belly and thigh.
Several calls alerted CIMACC 091 that there had been a stabbing inside the party room. When the Citizen Security agents arrived, they found a man lying on the ground and bleeding profusely at the entrance of the establishment. The police officers performed first aid on him until the arrival of the health workers, who rushed him to a hospital.
Inside the nightclub there was also a second victim, the security guard of the establishment, who had a stab wound in one leg and a significant hemorrhage. The alleged perpetrators had already left the place when the police arrived.
THE STATEMENTS OF THE WITNESSES, DECISIVE
The investigation was left in the hands of the Judicial Police Group of the Central District Police Station. The analysis of the available images and the statements of numerous witnesses made it possible to reconstruct what happened. According to the National Police, one of those involved would have stabbed at least four different people, while another would have caused trauma and a head wound to one of the victims. A third person would have caused minor injuries in the eye area to the other.
After gathering the necessary evidence, the police arrested two 24-year-old men. One of them, with nine police records, is attributed with an alleged crime of serious injury, while the second, with four criminal records, was arrested for an alleged crime of attempted homicide. A third person was identified and investigated for a minor crime of injury.
The two arrested were brought to court and the judge decreed the entry into provisional detention of the investigated for the attempted homicide. The other detainee was released with charges.
