One of the new faces within the new ownership of the Real Zaragoza, A.Gain, the general manager, Guido Baroli, has spoken at the offering to the Virgen del Pilar to make an analysis of the Francho Serrano issue and the sporting and institutional part after the whole summer.
One of the answers that was most wanted to be heard was the one referring to the departure of Francho Serrano, although the Argentine director has followed the thread of what Lalo Arantegui commented on Thursday. «One of the first measures I took as soon as I arrived was to meet Francho and I had a personal meeting with him and Lalo in Boltaña. A meeting with which I wanted to feel and understand what he represented in the institution and how he was in the human factor,» he began.

Baroli added that after that meeting, in which Lalo was also present, «we were convinced that he was part of the project and an important asset within the squad«. But the offer from Getafe arrived «and we had to make the decision to leave», although the director of the white club has clarified that «with another player profile we would not have made the same decision».
«WE ARE CONVINCED THAT WE CAN ACHIEVE THE OBJECTIVE»
Guido Baroli was also asked about the sporting issue after most of the preparation has already been overcome and there is just over a week left for the season to start. «We believe that steps are being taken forward in Ibai’s model of play because we come from a process in which most of the squad was formed before the preseason and we continue to work on various final aspects as Lalo explained. It’s going to be a difficult year, but we are convinced that we will be able to return the club to professional football,» he said.
In the institutional section he has also been very happy with the progress within the club. Baroli commented that A.Gain believes that «the way to grow is to have a sustainable club in all aspects and we have to take the logical steps because the project is long-term and that Real Zaragoza returns to the place it deserves». The director has shown that «we are taking steps forward in a rapid process of renewal of the club».
One of the issues that has also come out to the coalition is the issue of possible dismissals due to relegation. «As of today, there is no type of cut and it is not something that we are planning in the short term, but we are believers in efficient structures and organizations,» he added.
Finally, he sent a message to the fans ahead of this new season: «We are working very hard following a decision-making process in which everyone involved takes part. We are clear about the objective and we are confident that if we are all together we will achieve it.»
