«Terminator», «Taxi Driver» or «Trainspotting» are some of the films that have returned to the billboards of Zaragoza cinemas, decades after they were released. But, those who still want to be surprised can already mark the date: Zinemaff, the experimental film festival that will be held from November 7 to 14 in Zaragoza.
This year’s programme brings together a total of 25 works from various countries, selected from nearly a thousand films sent. The third edition of the festival continues to consolidate its proposal as one of the reference spaces for international experimental

The selection is organised into three sections: official section, new perspectives section and Aragonese section. The latter reaffirms the festival’s commitment to the cinematographic talent of the community, making room for experimental works made by Aragonese creators.
The poster that represents this third edition of the Aragonese festival seeks to refer to who the organization considers key in auteur and experimental cinema: Béla Tarr. In addition, it follows the aesthetics that can be common in current experimentation, with manipulated reels or infrared imagery.
Among this year’s additions are the new sections and three talks, with which the festival seeks to strengthen the link with a type of cinema and with the public. «We believe that this third edition can appeal to the viewer with stories and talks that will give food for thought,» the organization has highlighted.
